Volcano Eruption

Experience the magnificent view of the newest volcanic eruption in Iceland! Start your trip from Reykjavik Domestic Airport, just a 5 minute drive from the center of the city. Expect to be amazed at the incredible sights you will see from an Icelandic volcano helicopter tour. On this round trip to an active volcano, you will be gazing down on the pouring hot lava.

The total duration of the tour is 35-40 minutes, and overflying the oldest eruption site and the newest one.

Please note that landing is not guaranteed at the eruption site, this will depend on weather conditions and restrictions in the area, but we will give you the best viewing experience from the air.

All our flights are weather dependent and we have to abide by the rules and regulations set in place by the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management. 

Please keep in mind that eruptions are an event of nature and it may or may not be active at the time of your tour.

Camera 

The focal length of a lens recommendation for your camera: 

24-105mm OR 70-200 mm

After submitting the booking we will inform you about the exact starting time for the tour. 

We will ask for additional information. If you can kindly provide us your phone number, email and approx. weight on each passenger.   

Please note that this tour is weather dependent and if the weather forecast is not looking promising at the time of your booked tour we always try to 

A) Try to change the time on the same day (e.g. go in the afternoon instead of the morning). 

B) Offer you to go on a different date (e.g. they day before or the day after). 

C) If we are fully booked and can not offer options A and B we always give a full refund!

For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.

For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
