Zipline Akureyri
Zipline Akureyri exists because its owners thought the town was short on things for adrenaline seekers. Their answer was five ziplines across the canyon of the river Glerá, which runs through Akureyri largely unvisited, even by locals. The lines, they say, could hold the weight of several trucks, which is more than you will ask of them. From the base at Þingvallastræti 50 two guides kit you out, walk you to the first line and send you across one at a time, with short forest paths in between and a ten-minute hike back. Allow up to two hours. Minimum age eight, maximum weight 120 kg. Staff say the knot in the stomach fades with practice, but the fun of soaring down the lines does not.

What's included
Expertly guided Zipline tour in Akureyri. Enjoy five Ziplines of varying lengths and heights, in a small group. We provide all necessary safety equipment, including helmets.
What to bring
Please wear clothing according to weather and shoes suitable for outdoor activities.
Gloves are not necessary for this activity but could be nice if it's cold out.
A thin hat, to fit under the provided helmet, is optional.
Braid or tie long hair up in a low bun.
Cameras and phones are allowed during the activity, but please use a safety strap or put your items away in a closed pocket while Zipping.
