Laugarás Lagoon
While the past few years have seen the rise of “The Lagoons”, nicely designed geothermal pools which can seem expensive, the upside is you get treated like royalty while sipping champagne. Laugarás Lagoon, an hour from Reykjavík, is the latest such addition. Apart from being a great soak, it features one of the most interesting new restaurants in Iceland, Ylja, run by local favourite Gísli Matt.

About this tour
Laugarás Lagoon is a geothermal retreat in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle, surrounded by nature and overlooking the Hvítá River.
The two-level lagoon is designed to flow naturally into the landscape, offering warm geothermal waters, two saunas, a cold plunge and swim-up bars – all with views across the surrounding countryside.
Complete the experience at Ylja Restaurant, led by Icelandic chef Gísli Matt. Ylja celebrates the flavours of the region through seasonal dishes made with ingredients sourced from local farms, greenhouses and fisheries.
Located within easy reach of Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir National Park, Laugarás Lagoon fits naturally into a day exploring the Golden Circle – whether you are travelling as a couple, with friends, as a family or on your own.

Laugarás Lagoon is wheelchair accessible, featuring private changing rooms for your comfort and convenience.
Children from the age of 8 are welcome to visit our lagoon. However, children aged 7 and younger are not allowed in the lagoon. All ages are welcome to dine at Ylja Restaurant.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
