Our Þórsmörk Buggy Tour starts from our base, Brú base by Road 249. After a short briefing where your guide takes you through safety procedures, we dress up in a waterproof snow/whole suit and helmet and hop into our buggy ride.

Þórsmörk is an incredible and beautiful nature reserve, situated in the heart of south Iceland, nestled among the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, and Tindfjallajökull.

This Þórsmörk Buggy Tour is the perfect tour to explore the wonders of Þórsmörk while experiencing an adventurous buggy ride.

We will also visit Gígjökull glacier, where we will observe the effects of the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption and breathe in the purifying glacial air.

Shared and Single Buggy Options

• A shared ride means two people ride one snowmobile
• The standard price is per person and includes a shared snowmobile
• Solo riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single-ride snowmobile
• Incorrect bookings will result in an additional fee charged on location

Important Driver Information

• Drivers must be 17 years or older
• A full, valid driver’s license is required
• Learner’s permits, tractor licenses, and motorcycle licenses are not accepted
• A valid international driver’s license is required

‘Shared ride’ is when two people share one buggy. Each buggy can take 1-2 people at a time. If you book ‘shared rides’ only and bookings are in odd numbers, you will need to buy one single ride. Be sure to book this correctly in the booking process

For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.

For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
