About Fiskmarkaðurinn
Hrefna Sætran's first restaurant, in an 1891 timber house on Aðalstræti, and still the place Grapevine sends people to try Icelandic seafood done the Japanese way. Two floors share one staircase; the best seats are the intimate ones by the kitchen. The signature is lightly salted cod over soba with matcha butter and langoustine sauce, the Volcano roll wraps langoustine tartare in salmon and cucumber with shichimi, and salmon comes off the robata grill. Runner-up for Best Seafood and Best Sushi in Grapevine's 2021 awards and, in their words, "a keeper and repeater". Dinner only, from five.
