Chef Einar Hjaltason and his wife Kristjana Þura run it on Strandgata with the boats across the road, so the fish is as fresh as it gets: wolffish with tarragon mayo and polenta, ling ceviche, slow-cooked ox cheek with cauliflower two ways, and a slice of toast that turns out to be compressed chicken skin. Grapevine's line: it holds its own against the best in Reykjavík without breaking the bank. Happy hour with rotating cocktails on tap. Dinner only, closed Monday.
