About Sjávargrillið
Seafood grill on Skólavörðustígur, a street-level grill upstairs and a cellar dining room below, decorated with driftwood screens, maritime maps and antique skis. Lobster comes from Höfn and mussels from Breiðafjörður; the menu runs from lobster tacos and maki to salted cod, slow-cooked salmon and fried plaice with remoulade, with a Taste of Iceland tasting menu for the undecided. Grapevine's reviewer thought the concept a little dated but lost no love for the blueberry sorbet, "a thousand berries juiced into a midnight-black scoop of happiness". Lunch and dinner on weekdays, dinner at weekends.
