Translating as “Mother Earth”, this café, shop and B&B sits on an organic farm in a wooded area near the shore of Lagarfljót. The food is fresh, local, seasonal and vegetarian or vegan, served in a light dining room built entirely of Icelandic wood, or in the greenhouse with the owners chatting alongside you. The shop sells what the farm grows and packs. Summer only, so check ahead.
