A wine bar built like a Nordic library inside the Konsúlat hotel on Hafnarstræti: blue wood panelling, books to the ceiling, soft carpets and a bright, cheerful room rather than a dim one. The idea is the flight, a set of wines from one country paired with plates that go with them, Spain one season, Italy the next, with arancini, bruschetta and thick-cut bresaola on the Italian run. Happy hour from four to seven, and a bottle bought at the bar comes with two small plates, aperitivo-style. Grapevine's pick among the city's gastronomic wine bars. Open midday to nine.
