About Kaffi Flóra

Kaffi Flóra, open since 1997, sits in the display greenhouse of the Reykjavík Botanic Garden in Laugardalur and grows much of its own lettuce, herbs and flowers in its garden and greenhouse. Grapevine named it Best Kept Secret in 2012 and Best Place to Spend a Rainy Day in 2015. The greenhouse doubles as a gig venue: in September 2026 a Grapevine writer watched Moses Hightower play it to a sold-out house. The café opens daily in summer and shuts for winter, for the sake of the plants.
